It uses two button cell batteries that are included and replaceable and features four bright white LED lights with three levels of brightness: 100%, 75% and 50%. From the "off" setting, press the black button once to achieve 100% brightness, twice for 75% and three times for 50%. Pressing it a fourth time turns the light off.
